When your adventures follow sprawling valley floors, open prairies or winding forest roads rather than steep ridgelines, the Flatlander SD is built to go the distance. At its heart is the new RMG062A dual-speed internal hub motor — a 750 W Bafang rear hub that delivers 85 Nm of torque and uses torque-sensing technology for smooth, responsive power. Because the gearing is enclosed inside the hub, there’s no derailleur to hang up or break; you get a single-speed chain ring paired with internal two-speed gearing (40-tooth front, 22-tooth rear), meaning pure, silent thrust whenever you need it. This motor is fed by a 52 V 20 Ah integrated lithium-ion battery, and serious distance riders can bolt on an additional 15 Ah or 20 Ah battery via the modular quick-release rack for up to 40 Ah of total capacity—perfect for day-long scouting trips or touring remote ranchland without range anxiety.
Bakcou’s engineers paired that powertrain with a rugged Air-Craft 6061 aluminum alloy frame, a helical-spring 100 mm front fork and a shock-absorbing suspension seat post to soak up washboard roads and rocky two-tracks. Wide 4-inch CST tires mounted on 24-inch wheels provide stability and traction on sand, mud or gravel, while the quad-piston hydraulic brakes with 203 mm rotors offer confident stopping power. A removable left-thumb throttle allows you to ease through tight sections. Slip-resistant wide-stance pedals, a rear pannier rack, chain-stay protector and puncture-proof liners mean the Flatlander SD is ready for serious back-country work. The integrated stem-mount display with Bakcou’s On-Demand Program (ODP) lets you customize your speed class and monitor vital stats. Optional Bakcou Connect brings smartphone-enabled GPS tracking, battery-health monitoring and remote locking, so you know the location and condition of your bike at all times. Bakcou eBike frames have a lifetime warranty against factory defects. Provided you register your eBike with Bakcou within 45 days from the date of receipt, Bakcou will warrant the structural integrity of the frame to the original owner for as long as the original owner owns the product.
All Bakcou eBikes and their individual covered components (as defined herein), are protected against all manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for one (1) year after original purchase by the original purchaser.
The Limited Warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of a defective motor, lithium ion battery, Roloff gear hub, suspension, forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, bottom bracket, crank set, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, derailleur, shifter, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD display, and kickstand. This warranty does not cover the normal wear and tear of these components.
